Lina Yakobi is a name that stands for a unique artistic vision, embodying the quest for spirituality and self-expression. Born in 1973 in the USSR, and having moved to Spain in 2006, she found her second home in the picturesque city of Marbella.

Her journey into art began after reading Joseph Murphy's "The Power of Your Subconscious Mind" in 1996. This book opened up a world of self-development and visualization, which became key in Lina's creative path. Developing her skills and exploring various artistic approaches, she created the unique "Yakobi Method," which redefined art as a way to connect the visible and the invisible.

She also experiments with various materials, including embroidery, minerals, and semi-precious stones, to give her works not only visual but also tactile depth. She believes that art extends beyond traditional boundaries and that the five human senses are insufficient to fully perceive the world. Since 2022, she has been constantly interacting with AI, offering more possibilities in art creation. Her professional artistic career began with participation in the FestiArte Marbella art festival in August 2023. Since then, she has been involved in various exhibitions and events, demonstrating her unique style and approach to art. Each work is an invitation for the viewer to look beyond the veil of the mundane and discover the unknown.

In addition to paintings, she also designs handbags , this is her art, with interchangeable covers, emphasizing their ecological nature and convenience. This idea is the result of her desire to combine convenience and style, creating items that are not only beautiful but also functional. The interchangeable covers for the bags are prints of Lina's paintings, becoming a part of everyday life, beautifying it, and bringing art closer to the layperson.

Lina is convinced of the importance of sustainable development and respect for nature. Her sales principle "buying = restoring" reflects this philosophy, as each sale of a painting or her author's product includes the cost of a tree seed. She has been using this approach for 20 years.

Lina's life is an endless creation and learning. Finding joy in every created work and each new idea, sharing this joy with the world around her, she invites everyone to join the journey through art to better understand themselves and their reality.

My name is Lina Yakobi, and I am an artist whose creative path began with a deep dive into the world of self-development and visualization. My art is not just a creation; it reflects my inner world, my experiences, and my perception of reality, which I constantly explore.

My unique "Yakobi Method" allows me to create works where two images coexist on one canvas: one visible in the light, the other mysterious and hidden, revealed only in the dark. This method is a metaphor for the depth and complexity of reality that extends far beyond the visible.

Technically, to view the paintings, one can simply observe the images in both light and darkness, or just plug in a timer, and the light above the painting will turn on and off every 10 minutes. In some frames, I install an LED strip with UV lighting.

I use various materials, including minerals, semi-precious stones, and embroidery, to give each piece a unique resonance and significance. "Embroidery in texture" combines fragility and toughness, symbolizing how apparent fragility can be resilient, and how the gentle, when combined with the rough, reveals hidden beauty. Like the masculine and feminine, like water and flame. Seemingly incompatible elements can be united in a way that becomes perfect and harmonious.

My works are not just paintings; they are gateways to another world, where each viewer can find something personal, step beyond the boundaries of the mundane, and discover new horizons of perception. I have also been using artificial intelligence since 2022, which opens up even more opportunities for self-expression. Additionally, I have started creating an installation project using my Yakobi method, a space where one enters one realm, but then, with the lights turned off, the viewer finds themselves in a completely different space. Just like that, instantly. Like in a painting, one scene changes to another.

I am deeply engrossed in creating this unique installation project. It is an exploration and experiment where I invite viewers to look into a different dimension.

I moved from Russia to Spain in 2006. My work has always been connected to creativity, but I only recently started to pursue the profession of an artist, and since 2023, I have been participating in various exhibitions and art festivals, always presenting something new. I believe that art is an endless journey, and each of my creations is a part of this fascinating path.

I invite viewers to step into another dimension through my method of portrayal. The effect of a hidden image appearing on the canvas, where, without the use of technology or a digital screen, a surprise image emerges, creates a sense of wonder.

If you imagine that you can enter another dimension, I try to visually demonstrate that it's not somewhere else, but right here. All the images are on the canvas; it only requires a slight change in perception.
